Killing Joke
The Peel Sessions 1979 - 1981
Once described by drummer Paul Ferguson as ‘the sound of the earth vomiting’, Killing Joke is an English post-punk phenomena. Anthemic and grandiose in its evocation of nightmarish visions the band uses heavy guitars and pounding tribal drums to take sarcastic jabs at authority and conjure a primitive atmosphere of doom, gloom and resistance. Tracks 1-14 are Peel Session tracks, 15-17 were recorded at a Richard Skinner session from the same period. Available for the first time on CD and digital download.
